Website and Service Terms
Last updated: 17 October 2026
About these terms
Verna Solutions is the trading name used by founders Luke Taylor and Sam Davies for their Manchester-based web development business. Contact Sam at sam@vernasolutions.co.uk. These terms explain our website and service approach; your written project agreement sets out the specific work, price and arrangements accepted by both sides.
Your free demo
After we have discussed your requirements and agreed the intended result, we prepare a demo free of charge. You can request changes before deciding whether to proceed. Either side can decline before the paid project starts, without a demo charge; we may decline requests that abuse the free revision process.
Demo revisions are a discussion about the proposed project, not an unlimited commitment to complete additional work. We will explain if a request falls outside what we can reasonably offer before a paid agreement is made.
Quotes, payment and changes
All projects are quote-only. Size, features, complexity and expected delivery time affect the cost. Payment comes after you have viewed the demo; ask your Verna handler about flexible arrangements. Any changes to scope or additional charges are discussed before proceeding.
A project request is an enquiry, not an order or an automatic payment commitment. Agree the deliverables, included features, payment schedule, hosting, optional maintenance and any third-party charges in writing before proceeding.
Delivery and your materials
We plan delivery within one month of completed payment, often sooner. The agreed scope, timely content and consistent communication determine the schedule; larger projects may need longer.
Tell us your company name, whether you have a domain, whether you want Verna hosting and which features you need. You supply your business information, text, branding and any images you want used, with permission to use them. We provide hosting only when it is included in your agreed package.
We will discuss the effect of scope changes, missing materials or delayed responses with you and agree any revised schedule. You should supply accurate content and material you have permission to use. We agree the handover, ownership and any third-party licence requirements in the project agreement.
Domains, hosting and outages
You retain full control of your domain and registrar account. For Verna hosting, we provide the server A-record details and a setup guide. Domain purchase and renewal remain your responsibility.
Verna hosting is an optional service on our private servers, with SSL setup. It is relatively new and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
If Verna hosting fails for more than four hours, we refund that month’s hosting fee, waive any remaining hosting charges for that month, and provide the following month’s hosting without charge. Contact your Verna handler to report the outage and arrange this; it is not an automatic payment.
This hosting arrangement concerns hosting charges, not the website build fee, and does not replace rights or remedies that apply by law.
Support, maintenance and status
We aim to reply within a day. This is a typical response target, not a guarantee.
We try to cover enquiries throughout the week, including outside office hours, but do not guarantee 24/7 availability. We aim to complete reported issues and agreed changes within a week, depending on their scope and complexity.
Ongoing maintenance is an optional add-on with a small monthly fee agreed in your quote. Hosting and maintenance are separate items; agree the included changes, support and recurring costs with your handler.
We do not provide routine monitoring as standard. Health checks show the last result known to Verna, not a guarantee that a site is currently available. Please report problems through your client dashboard or contact Sam.
SEO and AI features
We include technical SEO foundations such as page titles, metadata and a clear page structure. Search visibility depends on many factors; we cannot guarantee rankings, traffic or sales.
We use artificial intelligence to help us work efficiently, with human review and testing. It does not replace our responsibility for the quality and agreed functionality of your website.
AI features can include a website FAQ helper, document search, enquiry routing or workflow assistance, depending on the use case. Model hosting, external APIs and usage can create additional setup or recurring fees. Speak to a Verna handler before including AI in your quote.
Our website AI helper selects approved public information. It cannot give binding quotes, access private customer records, change accounts or make commitments on behalf of a handler.
Using the website and client portal
Use the website, forms and portal for legitimate enquiries and authorised work. Do not submit automated spam, attempt unauthorised access or disrupt the service. Protect your password and authenticator; choose Remember me only on a private device and sign out on shared devices.
Tell us promptly if you suspect an account has been compromised. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect accounts or the service.
Responsibility and your rights
We remain responsible for delivering the agreed work with reasonable care and skill. This website is not a promise of particular search rankings, uninterrupted hosting or outcomes outside our agreed scope.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any project-specific liability arrangements must be agreed fairly and in writing; these website terms do not remove your statutory rights.
Questions, complaints and applicable law
Contact sam@vernasolutions.co.uk with questions or complaints so we can review them with you. The laws of England and Wales apply, without removing any mandatory consumer protections or rights to use courts available to you by law. Changes to this page do not automatically change an already agreed project.
